What inspired the name "Fins Agency?"
The inspiration behind the name "Fins Agency" can be traced back to the founders, Katie and Wayne Mills. Wayne, a USMC veteran, was affectionately nick-named "Sharky." Being Parrot Heads, or die-hard Jimmy Buffett fans, both Katie and Wayne were fond of beach-themed activities. They established "Sharky's Stump Grinding" in 2010 and later added "Sew Sharky's," a boat upholstery business, and "Shark Fin Entertainment," a DJ and emcee company, which reflected Wayne's passion for music.
When they decided to launch a travel agency, they combined their love for beaches, Jimmy Buffett's music ("FINS Up!"), and the "Sharkys" theme from their other ventures to create Fins Agency. Hence, FINS Agency was born.

Owner / Travel Agent
Katie Mills is the proud owner of Fins Agency. Born and raised in Maryland, Katie moved to South Carolina to attend Clemson University, where she studied marketing. She has always had a love for the island lifestyle, with a particular passion for cruising and all-inclusive vacations. Katie enjoys traveling with groups of friends and creating memorable experiences for her clients.
In 2018, Katie started Fins Agency to share her love of tropical destinations with others. She is a distinguished member of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and offers a full range of travel services. Her goal is to help her clients escape to a tropical paradise and create unforgettable memories.
Katie is married to Wayne Mills, a US Marine Corps veteran, and they have three children: Tyler, Colton, and CJ. They share their home in Honea Path, SC with their two dogs, a German Shepherd named Max and an Australian Shepherd named Koda.
When she's not working or traveling, Katie can be found soaking up the sun and sand at the beach, lake, or pool. She's a "Parrot Head" and loves the laid-back island lifestyle. With a passion for travel and helping others, Katie Mills is the go-to travel agent for anyone looking for a tropical escape.

We’re excited to introduce Jacque' McKinley as the newest member of the Fins Agency family! Jacque' is a full-service travel agent with a passion for exploring new destinations and creating unforgettable experiences for her clients.
Jacque' is a proud Army Veteran, married to Roger McKinley, a Navy Veteran, and together they have 3 daughters and 3 grandchildren. Originally born in Maine and raised as an “Air Force brat”, Jacque' spent her childhood in various places but calls the DC Metro area home. After joining the Army, Jacque' was stationed in Virginia Beach and later in Hawaii, where she began developing her love for travel and experiencing new cultures.
In May 1991, Jacque' moved to Anderson, SC, where she has made her home ever since. When Jacque' isn't helping her clients book dream vacations, she enjoys traveling to new places and is always happiest near the water. Jacque' also works for an international company, collaborating with colleagues from around the globe and regularly traveling to authentic regions of Mexico, further fueling her love for exploration.
Jacque’s diverse background and firsthand travel experiences make her a perfect fit for Fins Agency, and we’re thrilled to have her bring her expertise, warmth, and passion for travel to our clients.
