This week I had the chance to do something pretty special. I joined 17 other travel advisors from North and South Carolina on a familiarization trip hosted by AIC Hotel Group at the incredible Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Punta Cana.
For four days (Monday through Thursday), we were welcomed by our Business Development Manager, Brianna Dittl, who gave us an in-depth look at not only this property, but also the wider portfolio of AIC resorts. The idea? To let us experience the resort exactly as our clients would so we can give you honest, firsthand advice.
First Impressions
From the moment I arrived, it was clear: Hard Rock Punta Cana is huge. The property is beautifully spread out, filled with energy, and has that signature “rock star” vibe. Whether you’re walking through the large lobby, strolling down to the beach, or exploring one of the many pools, you feel like there’s always something new around the corner.
Rooms That Rock
Even the entry-level rooms here are oversized, with private balconies, spa tubs, and plenty of little touches that make you feel like a VIP. It’s not your average “starter room” — it’s designed for comfort and fun from the start.

Foodies will be happy here! With nine restaurants plus endless bars and lounges, there’s something for every craving. From Italian pastas to Asian fusion, steakhouse classics to casual beach bites, you’ll never run out of options. (Pro tip: the coffee shop is a hidden gem for sweet treats and iced lattes.)
Pools & Beach
This is where Hard Rock Punta Cana really shines. The resort has 13 pools, some lively, some quiet, and of course, the white-sand beach that stretches for miles. It’s the perfect spot to relax, sip a cocktail, or dive into some fun in the sun.
